Initial planning for ideas

For my planning stage i used multiple print outs of the lyrics from my chosen song and used them to create ideas for shots and then to brain storm and plan out the actual video.

Still a little bit of your taste in my mouth
Still a little bit of you laced with my doubt
Still a little hard to say what's going on

Still a little bit of your ghost, your witness
Still a little bit of your face I haven't kissed
You step a little closer each day
That I can't say what's going on

Stones taught me to fly
Love ‒ it taught me to lie
Life ‒ it taught me to die
So it's not hard to fall
When you float like a cannonball

Still a little bit of your song in my ear
Still a little bit of your words I long to hear
You step a little closer to me
So close that I can't see what's going on

Stones taught me to fly
Love ‒ it taught me to lie
Life taught me to die
So it's not hard to fall
When you float like a cannon

Stones taught me to fly
Love taught me to cry
So come on, courage, teach me to be shy
'Cause it's not hard to fall
And I don't wanna scare her
It's not hard to fall
And I don't wanna lose
It's not hard to grow
When you know that you just don't know

After analysing the lyrics, the song seems to be about a break up or loosing someone e.g the chorus " stones taught me to fly" would imply he has been hurt by people before and throughout the song you get the feeling of sadness.

My VIDEO TREATMENT/INSPIRATION

This is the video for the song "sun down" by radical something  after watching this video it gave me an idea that the video should be shot outside in the wilderness to show true isolation of the character artist whilst giving a real meaning to the video as it would follow the same emotions of the song, seeing the combination of random shots and lip syncing shots it gave me a great idea for my video.

My treatment for my video is very simple, i wanted to keep the video as minimulistic and create a huge feeling of solidarity as i felt this would really have an impact with the songs lyrics, my plan was very simple but yet effective, with all of the verses and bridges e.g "still a little bit of your taste, in my mouth", i wanted the singer in the video to be walking and looking at the landscapes because this would help to set a mood as the some builds towards each chorus  then using the chorus to lip sync as this would really amplify the meaning in the song - this is called "lyrical amplification" which tends to be used on videos of this genre because it gives a great effect to the viewer.
